Favourite hikes and wild places:
Forks of the Credit Provincial Park. Quintessential Caledon landscape, with kettle lake, Credit River, and Cataract Falls. Routes are anywhere from a 30 minute stroll to a 2 hour loop.
Island Lake - a easy flat stroll around the lake. 7-9km
Bruce Trail - runs through most of the area's back yard.
If you are looking for a book that captures most of the local hiking loops- Caledon's own Nicola Ross has a terrific book: Loops and Lattes.

Browse the galleries and grounds of the historic Alton Arts Mill. A beautiful old mill that has been restored to a hub of creative happenings.

Sip some local, cider, wine and suds...
Goodlot Farmstead Brewing Company is worth a visit and if you can't make it to the farm, you will certainly be able to find them at a local pub or restaurant.
Heartwood Cidery - tasting room and farm tours. Say "hi" to the orchard pigs.
Bistro, Orchard and Farm Shop. I suggest the Normandy Apple bread and pate.
Adamo Estate Winery - spectacular view of the Hockley Valley and great ambiance.
Caledon Hills Brewing Company - available at local pubs and restaurants and LCBO
Badlands Brewing Company-available at local pubs and restaurants and LCBO.
